Craps Review: Point Rolls, Odds & 99.17% RTP

Craps by Evolution on 789Bingo

Play Craps by Evolution at 789Bingo. Learn Pass Line, Point rolls, Come bets, true Odds payouts, Easy Mode and its 83.33%–99.17% RTP range.

Evolution Craps is built around two dice, but understanding the game requires more than predicting a single total. A round can move from a Come Out roll into a Point phase, allowing some wagers to remain active across several throws while others settle immediately after the next dice result.

That distinction explains much of the Craps Evolution table. Pass Line and Don’t Pass establish the main round, Come and Don’t Come can create their own points later, while Take Odds and Lay Odds become available only after a point exists.

What Defines Craps Evolution Online?

Quick Stats: Two physical six-sided dice | Come Out and Point phases | Published RTP range of 83.33%–99.17%

Evolution launched its online live product in 2020 (as seen in the Craps Evolution demo video below) and designed it to reproduce the traditional game while adding digital tools intended to make the large betting layout easier to understand. The provider includes an Easy Mode, interactive tutorial and interface aids alongside the live dice table.

The objective is to predict outcomes created by the total of two six-sided dice.

That sounds straightforward, but learning how to play Evolution Craps differs from games where every wager is settled after one action. Evolution divides its wagers into:

multi-roll bets, which may remain active over several dice rolls;

and

one-roll bets, which are settled immediately on the next result.

The puck shown in the interface tells you which stage the game is currently in.

OFF means the next roll is a Come Out roll.

ON means a Point has been established and the game is in the Point phase.

Understanding that ON/OFF state is the quickest way to make sense of the rest of the table.

Evolution’s published rules do not assign one RTP to every Craps wager.

Instead, they state that the game ranges from 83.33% to 99.17% RTP, with the highest theoretical figure based on a Don’t Pass or Don’t Come wager combined with an equal-size Odds wager.

That makes a bare statement such as:

“Craps RTP: 99.17%”

incomplete.

The return changes substantially according to what part of the betting grid is used.

The exact PHP table limits should also be taken from the live 789Bingo deployment rather than converted from another casino’s Craps Evolution table.

Come Out, Point and the ON/OFF Puck

Every main Craps sequence starts in the Come Out phase.

The puck displays:

OFF

At this stage, Pass Line and Don’t Pass become the central wagers.

If the Come Out roll produces:

7 or 11, Pass Line wins.

2, 3 or 12, Pass Line loses.

For Don’t Pass:

2 or 3 wins.

7 or 11 loses.

12 pushes, so the Don’t Pass wager is returned.

If the roll instead produces:

4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10

that number becomes the Point.

The puck changes to:

ON

and stays associated with that point until either the Point is rolled again or a 7 appears.

This creates the fundamental Craps contest:

Point before 7

versus

7 before Point

Once that relationship makes sense, most of the table becomes easier to read.

Pass Line: Point Before Seven

Pass Line is available during the Come Out phase.

On the initial roll:

7 or 11 = win

2, 3 or 12 = loss

4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 = Point established

After a Point exists, the Pass Line wager stops caring about most other totals.

Suppose the Come Out roll is:

5

Five becomes the Point.

The next rolls could be:

8
3
10
6
4

and the Pass Line wager remains unresolved.

If 5 then appears before a 7, the wager wins.

If 7 appears first, it loses.

Evolution pays Pass Line at 1:1.

This illustrates why Craps Evolution online cannot be understood as a sequence of completely independent one-roll wagers. A single Pass Line position can remain on the table while several unrelated totals appear.

Don’t Pass Reverses the Point Objective

Don’t Pass largely takes the opposite side of the Pass Line sequence.

During the Come Out roll:

2 or 3 = win

7 or 11 = loss

12 = push

If 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 establishes a Point, the objective reverses.

The Don’t Pass wager wants:

7 before the Point repeats.

Suppose 8 becomes the Point.

If a 7 appears before another 8, Don’t Pass wins.

If 8 repeats first, Don’t Pass loses.

Its normal payout is also 1:1.

The push on 12 is important because Pass and Don’t Pass are not mathematically perfect mirror images during the Come Out roll.

Come Bets Create a Second Point Cycle

Come bets are available only when the main table is already in the Point phase.

They behave almost like a new Pass Line wager beginning in the middle of the existing round.

On the first roll after the Come wager is placed:

7 or 11 = win

2, 3 or 12 = loss

4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 = that Come bet receives its own point

The chips are then moved to the corresponding number.

This means one Craps round can contain more than one active point concept.

For example, the main Pass Line Point might be:

6

while a later Come bet establishes:

9

The Pass Line now wants 6 before 7.

The Come bet wants 9 before 7.

Both can exist simultaneously.

That is one of the biggest conceptual jumps for a new player learning how to play Evolution Craps, but it is also what makes multi-roll betting different from simply wagering on the next dice total.

Don’t Come Creates the Opposite Secondary Point

Don’t Come works in the opposite direction.

It is also available during the Point phase.

On its first relevant roll:

2 or 3 = win

7 or 11 = loss

12 = push

If another Point number appears, the Don’t Come chips move to that number.

From then on, the wager wants 7 to appear before its assigned number repeats.

So a single Craps Evolution table may contain:

a main Point;

one or more Come points;

and one or more Don’t Come points.

The same dice roll can therefore settle several different wagers in different ways.

This is why Evolution’s My Numbers interface tool is especially useful in Craps.

Why Odds Bets Are Different From the Other Bets

Once a Pass Line or Come wager has established a Point, Evolution can make a separate Take Odds position available beside it.

The Odds payout depends on the Point:

Point

Take Odds Payout

4 or 10

2:1

5 or 9

3:2

6 or 8

6:5

For Don’t Pass and Don’t Come, the equivalent wager is Lay Odds:

Point

Lay Odds Payout

4 or 10

1:2

5 or 9

2:3

6 or 8

5:6

Evolution explicitly states that these wagers pay the true odds of the established point against 7.

That makes Odds unusual.

The payout changes because the probability of beating or losing to a 7 changes with the number.

A 4, for example, can be rolled in only three combinations:

1+3
2+2
3+1

while a 7 has six combinations.

That is why Take Odds on 4 pays 2:1.

A 6 has five combinations against the six combinations producing 7, so the true-odds payout changes to 6:5.

Why the game still does not have 100% overall RTP

Calling an Odds wager “true odds” can create another misunderstanding.

You cannot ordinarily place it by itself.

Evolution makes Take Odds available only after Pass Line or Come establishes a Point, while Lay Odds requires an established Don’t Pass or Don’t Come position.

The base wager therefore still contributes its own casino advantage.

This is why Evolution’s official maximum game return is 99.17% rather than 100%, even though the added Odds portion itself pays according to true probability.

The published 99.17% figure assumes the Don’t Pass/Don’t Come amount equals the Odds amount.

That is probably the most important RTP insight here.

Place to Win: Number Before Seven

Place to Win allows a direct wager on one of the six Point numbers:

4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10

Instead of requiring a Come Out sequence, you choose one number and predict that it will appear before 7.

Evolution’s published payouts are:

4 or 10 — 9:5

5 or 9 — 7:5

6 or 8 — 7:6

The payouts differ because the number of dice combinations differs.

Six and eight each have five combinations, making them more common than four or ten, which each have three.

That probability difference is reflected in the payout table.

Place to Lose Reverses That Prediction

Place to Lose does the opposite.

Instead of asking for the selected number before 7, the wager asks for:

7 before the selected number

Evolution lists:

Lose 4 or 10 — 5:11

Lose 5 or 9 — 5:8

Lose 6 or 8 — 4:5

Again, the payout changes because the probability relationship between the selected number and 7 changes.

A lower-looking payout does not automatically mean the bet is mathematically worse. It can simply reflect a more likely event.

Hardways Require an Exact Pair

Hardways are multi-roll bets on:

Hard 4 = 2 + 2

Hard 6 = 3 + 3

Hard 8 = 4 + 4

Hard 10 = 5 + 5

The bet wins if the exact matching pair appears.

It loses if:

7 appears;

or the same total arrives the “easy” way before the matching pair.

For example, Hard 4 wins on:

2 + 2

but loses if 4 is instead rolled as:

1 + 3

or

3 + 1

Evolution pays:

Hard 4 or 10 — 7:1

Hard 6 or 8 — 9:1.

The distinction between total and exact dice composition is what separates Hardways from ordinary Place wagers.

One-Roll Bets End Immediately

Not every Craps wager follows the Point cycle.

Evolution groups several wagers as One Roll bets.

These are resolved on the next dice throw regardless of whether the puck is ON or OFF.

Published payouts include:

One-Roll Bet

These larger payout numbers can look attractive beside the 1:1 Pass Line payout, but payout size and RTP are not the same measurement.

Evolution states that the game’s complete RTP range extends down to 83.33%, which illustrates how much theoretical return can vary across the table.

Why a 30:1 Payout Does Not Mean a Better Bet

Craps is a useful example of the difference between:

maximum individual payout

and

long-term theoretical return.

A Crap 2 or Crap 12 wager can pay 30:1.

Pass Line normally pays just 1:1.

Yet the rare 30:1 outcome does not automatically offer the stronger mathematical return.

Two dice have 36 equally possible ordered combinations.

Only one combination produces a total of 2:

1 + 1

and only one produces 12:

6 + 6

The headline payout is larger precisely because the event is much less frequent.

That is why the most prominent payout on the table should never be treated as the same thing as its highest-RTP wager.

My Numbers Makes Multiple Bets Easier to Read

Evolution’s digital interface provides a feature called My Numbers.

It lists all possible two-dice totals from:

2 through 12

and updates according to the wagers the player has placed.

The interface can display which totals would produce a win or loss and show the potential financial result for each total. If several bets interact with the same number, the values are aggregated.

This is particularly useful when several multi-roll positions are active simultaneously.

For example, a player might have:

a Pass Line Point;

a Come bet assigned to another number;

a Place to Win wager;

and a Hardway.

One dice result can affect those positions differently.

My Numbers turns that complicated betting layout into a more direct question:

What happens to my current bets if the next total is 2, 3, 4 … or 12?

That is an online-specific usability advantage over simply memorizing every section of a physical Craps layout.

Easy Mode and Evolution's Interactive Tutorial

Evolution launched Live Craps with two beginner-oriented tools:

Easy Mode

and

an interactive tutorial.

The provider describes Easy Mode as a simplified interface containing easier-to-understand Craps betting choices. Its published rules also allow users to access LEARN CRAPS Evolution free from the game menu.

This is useful because complexity of how to play Evolution Craps comes mostly from the number of simultaneous bet types rather than from the dice themselves.

There are only 11 possible totals from two dice.

The difficult part is understanding which wager:

works only on Come Out;

works only after a Point;

remains active;

settles after one roll;

or can be temporarily turned off.

How to Play Evolution Craps at 789Bingo

After signing in to 789Bingo, open the live casino section and locate Craps Evolution online.

Check the live PHP betting limits before choosing a stake.

1. Check the puck

If it displays OFF, the game is in the Come Out phase.

This is when Pass Line and Don’t Pass are available.

2. Choose the type of prediction

A new player can start by understanding one wager at a time rather than filling multiple sections of the table immediately.

3. Watch the Come Out result

A Point of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 changes the puck to ON.

4. Follow the Point

If using Pass Line, the Point must repeat before 7.

If using Don’t Pass, 7 must appear first.

5. Add other wagers only after understanding them

Come, Don’t Come and Odds become relevant once the table is in the Point phase.

Other positions such as Place and Hardways can create additional multi-roll exposure.

6. Separate one-roll bets from persistent bets

A Field or Eleven wager disappears after its next resolution.

A Pass Line, Come, Place or Hardway can remain active across several rolls.

Pro Tip: Before adding another wager, check whether your existing positions remain active for one roll or multiple rolls. Several unresolved wagers can increase total exposure even when each individual stake is relatively small.

Managing Multiple Craps Bets Responsibly

The size of one Craps chip does not always represent total round exposure.

A Pass Line wager can remain active while a Come bet, Place bet and Hardway are added on later rolls. The combined amount at risk can therefore rise without any single wager appearing unusually large.

Set a session budget before opening the table.

Track all active positions, not only the most recent wager.

Avoid increasing stakes to recover a 7-out or a sequence of losing one-roll bets. Previous dice totals do not require the next roll to compensate for them.

Use Evolution‘s interface tools when they help you understand active positions, and use available deposit limits, session limits, timeouts or self-exclusion controls when needed.

Gambling can be addictive, know when to stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the RTP of Evolution Craps?

Evolution's published game rules give an RTP range of 83.33% to 99.17%.

The 99.17% optimal theoretical RTP is based on Don’t Pass or Don’t Come combined with an equal wager on the corresponding Odds position. It should not be presented as the RTP of every Craps Evolution online bet.

What is the difference between Pass Line and Come?

Both use similar win/loss logic, but they begin at different stages.

Pass Line is available during the Come Out phase.

Come becomes available after the main Point has already been established and can then create its own separate point.

Do Odds bets have the same payout for every Point?

No.

Take Odds pays:

  • 2:1 on 4/10
  • 3:2 on 5/9
  • 6:5 on 6/8

Lay Odds uses the corresponding reverse true-odds payouts:

  • 1:2 on 4/10
  • 2:3 on 5/9
  • 5:6 on 6/8

The payout changes because each Point has a different number of dice combinations relative to the six combinations that produce 7.

Playing Evolution Craps on 789Bingo

Craps Evolution online is best understood as a state-based dice game rather than simply a bet on two dice.

The main structure is:

Come Out → establish Point → Point or 7 resolves the cycle

From there, Come and Don’t Come can create additional points, Odds can attach to qualifying line bets, and Place or Hardway wagers can stay active across multiple throws.

That makes the game mechanically different from Sic Bo, where wagers primarily predict properties of one three-dice result.

Players interested in other dealer-led dice and something similar to the Craps Evolution table format can compare it with Super Sic Bo, baccarat, roulette and other games through the live casino collection.

Evolution’s defining contribution is not changing traditional mathematics of how to play Evolution Craps. It is making a complicated physical table easier to interpret online through the ON/OFF puck, My Numbers, Easy Mode and an interactive tutorial.
